M3 Junction 9 roundabout, slip roads, and surrounding roads closures this summer
The M3 Junction 9 roundabout, slip roads and several surrounding roads, will be closed over three weekends this summer so essential tie-in works can be completed safely and efficiently.

Planned closure dates and times:
- 9pm Friday 31 July to 6am on Monday 3 August
- 9pm Friday 21 August to 6am on Monday 24 August
- 9pm Friday 11 September to 6am on Monday 14 September
Roads closed
- A34 southbound will be closed from Bullington Cross
- A34 northbound will be closed to Three Maids Hill, also closing the A33 northbound
- A33 southbound will be closed from the Cart and Horses junction
- Easton Lane will be closed both north and southbound at the Easton Lane Roundabout
- A272 will be closed both northbound and southbound from the Spitfire roundabout (A31)
- M3 junction 9 entry and exit slip roads will be closed both northbound and southbound
The diversion routes are designed to suit all vehicle types.
You are advised NOT to use a Satnav when following any of the diversions because there is a risk it could direct you down an unsuitable road or back onto the network when it is closed.

Updates are also posted on the Highways south east X and Facebook social media accounts which you can share.
Please note lane closure information is not usually provided on the project website or closure bulletins.
In the event of poor weather conditions or other issues out of the contractors’ control, planned work may be postponed at short notice.
